WorkReadyNH graduates have what it takes to help your business succeed.

Created to Meet the Needs of Employers

Developed in 2011 to address the hiring needs of employers, WorkReadyNH remains a consistent resource to find and train employees with the skills necessary to help businesses thrive.

Improved Workplace Skills

Employers say overall workplace skills, or soft skills, are as important as the technical skills of their employees. WorkReadyNH helps job seekers and career builders improve these skills and earn two highly recognized credentials.

Soft Skills Addressed Include:

  • Employer expectations
  • Communication strategies
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem solving and decision making
  • Building better teams
  • Customer service
  • Conflict resolution
  • Business ethics
  • Safety in the workplace
  • Workplace sensitivity

Two Credentials

Graduates of WorkReadyNH earn two credentials.

WorkReadyNH Certificate

Issued by the Community College System of NH, this credential signals to employers that the graduate has the skills to be successful in the workplace.

National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) Issued by ACT

NCRC is a portable, evidence-based credential that measures essential workplace skills, is tied to an extensive database of career profiles, and is a reliable predictor of workplace success.

Three Skill Areas Assessed

Workplace Documents: Reading and understanding common workplace documents to apply information in practical situations.

Applied Math: Applying mathematical reasoning and problem solving techniques to workplace situations.

Graphic Literacy: Finding, extracting, understanding, and using information from graphs, charts, maps and more

“If I saw WorkReadyNH on a resume, I’d be very interested in the person. Soft skills are the piece we need most. We can train for the skills needed to do the job, yet soft skills are where we fall short.”

-Whelen Engineering Company Inc.

“…An individual who graduates from WorkReady NH is well prepared to succeed in the workplace.”
