Free pop-up COVID-19 test sites are being rolled out this week, including one at River Valley Community College that will begin on October 11th. In a partnership with the State of New Hampshire and ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care, PCR testing for SARS CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 will be held from 9AM-3PM, 7 days a week at River Valley’s Claremont campus.
Last spring, RVCC successfully hosted a COVID-19 vaccination site administered by the New Hampshire National Guard. College President Alfred Williams said hosting the vaccination and now the testing site provides an important community service and helps build relationships with community partners and the public. Allied health students and other volunteers will be assisting at the site.
The pop-up testing location at River Valley Community College is open to New Hampshire and Vermont residents and tourists of all ages. US-Citizenship is required. No appointment is necessary. Visitors must bring a photo ID, and provide a phone number and active email address. No insurance card is necessary.
The Claremont campus of River Valley Community College is accessible off Route 120 at 1 College Place, Claremont NH. Visitors will follow signs to the rear of the building. This is a drive-through testing site where visitors will remain in their vehicles throughout the duration of their visit. According to ClearChoice MD Urgent Care, the current turnaround time for this test is less than 48 hours.
