CCSNH Early Childhood Tuition Assistance helps students cover educational costs while completing Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificates and degrees.

To address New Hampshire’s high demand for early childhood educators, CCSNH received funding to support individuals living and working in the state as they complete ECE programs at any of our seven colleges.

  • Students must be New Hampshire residents, taking ECE courses or matriculated into one of our ECE certificate or degree programs to be eligible. (See ECE Program Info by College below.)
    • Only ECE degree students are eligible for assistance for non ECE courses.
    • Students are required to apply for FASFA, as other assistance may be available.
  • Students must be in good academic standing to be eligible.
  • Students living outside of NH need to confirm employment in a NH ECE setting to be eligible. This detail can be confirmed with their advisor/ECE Department Chair.
  • Award amount for the academic year may be capped based on student’s use of awards to date and advisor’s recommendation.
  • Awards for general education courses (non-ECE courses) may be cancelled if the awarded student changes their matriculation status from an ECE degree or certificate program before awarded courses are complete. Be sure to work with your advisor.

  1. ADVISING: Meet with ECE Department Chair (or advisor) at your CCSNH College.
    • Confirm enrollment in program of choice.
      • Students must be matriculated in one of our ECE AS degree programs to be eligible for assistance for general education courses.
  1. APPLY FOR FAFSA for the current academic year.
  1. REGISTER for courses.
    1. Students are encouraged to register early to ensure a seat in the course selected.
    2. Students who register close to the start of the term may need to pay for their courses upfront. If financial assistance is later approved, students will be reimbursed.
  2. Monitor student account details via the Student Information System (SIS), an app in the okta student portal. https://www.ccsnh.edu/easy-login/
  3. Purchase your books.

These funds cover tuition and fees and provide students with a book stipend for approved courses. As students register for courses, scholarship funds will be applied directly to eligible student accounts by their college. Funds will be granted to eligible students each term, as funds are available. The amount of the scholarship awards will depend upon funding availability. Students with questions should contact Shawna Young at [email protected]. Students who are matriculated in an ECE program are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA in case they are eligible for federal grants. Applications are no longer required for eligibility for these funds.  Please complete the steps under “AWARDING PROCESS.”
