CCSNH Colleges And Programs

Consortium Agreement Policy and Instructions

Federal regulations do not allow students to receive federal financial aid from two schools at the same time. Colleges within the CCSNH have worked out a Consortium Agreement procedure, whereby students receiving financial aid at their home college may use that aid to take courses at other host colleges within the System. The agreement is a formal contract between the student and the home and host colleges.  A student who wishes to receive financial aid to take a course at a CCSNH college other than the home college is required to complete a Consortium Agreement with the home college Financial Aid Office. Courses taken at a host College must be approved for transfer to the student’s home college academic program. Students participating in the Consortium Agreement program give permission for the host college transcript to be presented to the home college Registrar. Courses covered by the Consortium Agreement will be considered in determining Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid at the home college. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at your home college for more information.

A Consortium Agreement form should be submitted within three weeks of the start of your course. Please note that submitting this form does not guarantee an adjustment to your financial aid package.

How to Complete a Consortium Agreement

  • Form is available by logging in to the Student Information System.
  • Select your Academic Advisor.
  • Student completes both sections 1 and 3 of the Consortium Agreement.
  • Submit form. From there it will be emailed to the Academic Advisor that was selected.
  • Once the Consortium Agreement is signed and approved by the advisor, it will be sent to the Financial Aid Office for processing and final approval.

Financial Aid will only consider approving a Consortium Agreement if all the following conditions are met:

  • completed Consortium Agreement is submitted to the financial aid office within 3 weeks of the start of your course.
  • The Consortium Agreement has been approved by the Home College Advisor.

Once a Consortium Agreement is approved, here are the expectations students must meet in order to receive federal financial aid in the upcoming semesters:

Satisfactory Academic Progress

  • A student’s SAP status will not be reviewed until the student has submitted all transcripts for any course(s) taken through the Consortium Agreement.
