CCSNH offers high school students in grades 10-12 flexible and affordable options to obtain college credit. The Early College program allows students to explore their academic interests and work toward degrees or certificates to accelerate their careers.

Early College

High school students aged 15 and older can take classes directly with one of the CCSNH colleges. Courses are offered in person, online or in a hybrid or flex environment. Taking college courses in a college environment allows students to grow academically, socially and emotionally.  Students have direct access to the college’s student and academic support offices as well as the college’s library resources. Students can participate in the college’s student organizations and attend college events. Whether taking part in the full college experience or simply taking a single class, the Early College student experience allows students to explore college level academics in a welcoming environment.

Tuition

Tuition for Early College courses taken at the community colleges is discounted to half tuition. Course fees may be charged depending on the course and the individual community college. Early College students are eligible to receive up to two Early College scholarships each year. Pending availability, the scholarships will cover the cost of tuition and fees. Students may need to purchase books or other course materials.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Transfer of Courses

The acceptance of college credit is always at the discretion of the receiving college or university. CCSNH course credit has broad transferability with public colleges and universities within the US. A student may find that their college course doesn’t align with their intended program of study at their college or university. In that case, the course may transfer in as an elective credit.

Students can request their college transcript from the National Student Clearinghouse.

Early College Scholarships

Thanks to generous support from the State of NH, Early College students in grades 10-12 (homeschooled students 15 and older) have access to two Early College scholarships each year. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition and most fees. Students may be required to pay for additional course fees or purchase books or other course materials. The scholarships are subject to the availability of funding. Students interested in taking more than two classes can do so at the discounted tuition rates for Early College and Early College at the High School. Interested students should ensure that their high school meets the scholarship eligibility requirements.
