The tuition rate at New Hampshire’s Community Colleges for the 2025-26 academic year is changing. For in-state students, tuition will increase by $15 per credit. This is the first increase in six years and follows more than a decade of tuition stability.
We know cost matters, and we want you to have the full picture.
What’s Changing for Students?
Starting the Fall 2025 semester, tuition rates will be:
- In-State: $ 230/credit
- New England Regional Student Program: $ 345/credit
- Out of State: $ 505/credit
- For in-state students, the cost of a typical 3-credit course will increase by $45.
- There will also be adjustments to certain fees students pay.
- For registered students, amounts will be reflected in your student account by July 21, 2025.
- Even with this adjustment, CCSNH remains one of the most affordable college options in New Hampshire and New England.
Why Is Tuition Increasing?
Tuition today is virtually the same as it was more than a decade ago – we’ve worked hard to keep it low. But inflation impacts how we provide the teaching, learning and operational environments that support 21st century learning. To continue providing you with a high-quality education and the support you need to succeed, tuition dollars help fund:
- Modern classroom technology and labs
- Career-ready programs aligned with job market needs
- Student services, including advising, tutoring, and wrap-around support
- Exceptional faculty and instruction
What Are We Doing to Reduce Other Costs?
We’re working hard to keep your total college expenses manageable by:
- Providing free or low-cost textbooks for many courses through Open Educational Resources (OER)
- Expanding access to scholarships and financial aid
- Offering emergency grants and other help such as grab & go meals on campus

I already paid or created a payment plan for the fall semester. What do I do?
Contact your college Bursar’s office. The Bursars will also be updating fees as appropriate.
What about Early College courses?
A majority of students taking classes through the CCSNH Early College program do so at their own high schools. The good news here is that the tuition rate for these classes is not changing. Tuition for Early College at the High School courses will remain at $150. The Early College Online tuition rate will also remain the same for the 2025-2026 academic year. The tuition formula for students who are taking classes through Early College on Campus will remain half the tuition rate for their classes.
