Lakes Region CC Automotive Program Nets Top 25 Nationally
The Automotive Program at Lakes Region CC was designated by Tomorrow’s Technician magazine as one of the top 25 automotive programs in the nation, and will be vying for the 2012 School of the Year. Tomorrow’s Technician is a nationally published magazine headquartered in Akron, Ohio that reaches more than 40,000 automotive students nationwide. “It is an honor to be one of the top 25 schools in the country, “said LRCC Automotive Technology Department Head, Michael Parker (North Sandwich). “Tomorrow’s Technician magazine is a premier specialty publication. College personnel appreciate the honor of being considered for such a prestigious award.”
Parker was named the Automotive Service Excellence National Teacher of the Year in 2004. The Award was based upon the quality of instruction, dedication to the industry, and positive student outcomes.
