Mr. Vattes is Director of Government Relations at the College Board. Prior to this position, he served as the Municipal Relations and External Affairs Specialist at Public Service of New Hampshire.
Mr. Vattes has more than two decades of senior state government relations, external affairs and management experience having served as a consultant on State Government Relations and Public Affairs for the health insurance industry and as a consultant on Communications Services for the U.S. Bureau of the Census. He is a past Director of Communications for the N.H. State Senate and served as Director of Small Business and Director of Constituent Services for the United States Senate. He also served as a Corporate Communications Specialist for Fisher Scientific International.
Mr. Vattes serves as a member of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s State Government Affairs Committee, as a member of the N.H. Business & Industry Association’s Economic Development and Fiscal Policy Committee, and a member of the Manchester Rotary Club. He was selected by the NH Union Leader for the “Forty under 40” class of 2005.
He graduated with a BA from St. Anselm College and an MBA from Southern NH University. The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation appointed Mark Vattes to its Board of Directors in November of 2012.
