Claudette (Claudie) Mahar serves as the Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation Chairperson. She is the Past Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Community College System. She was recenly employed as Vice-President of Hospital Services at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire.
As the Vice President of Hospital Services for St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, Ms. Mahar was responsible for the Hospital’s academic programs, hospitality operations, resource development, and volunteer services and acted as a Hospital liaison for numerous community, State and civic organizations.
Before her work as VP of Hospital Services, Ms. Mahar served as Vice President for Patient Care Services and Chief Nurse Executive for nineteen years at St. Joseph Hospital. In that role, she was responsible for the nursing care management of all Patient Care Services, Operations Management, and the clinical practice of numerous divisions. Prior to that, she served in a variety of management positions at St. Joseph Hospital. She also served in the Air Force Reserves.
Ms. Mahar has received a number of awards, including: Citizen of the Year Award – Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce – 2005; James A. Hamilton Founder’s Award from NH Hospital Association; Humanitarian Award – Greater Nashua Charitable Foundation – 2001; NH Magazine – Award for Excellence; NHONE – Award for Excellent in Nursing Management; Advocacy for Girls Award – Girl’s, Inc. of Greater Nashua; Healthcare Business of the Year Award; NH Edition's 1992 Powerful Women's list; Pinnacle of Leadership Award – Business in NH and Federal Express; YWCA Ella Wheeler Distinguished Women Leader Award

Ms. Mahar earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston University, Massachusetts, a BS in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire, a BA from New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire and an RN Diploma from the NH Hospital School of Nursing in Concord, NH. She lives in Amherst, NH and is the mother of three children and the grandmother of four.
