Learn about new Computer Science & Global Innovation and new Information Technology associate degree programs

Claremont, NH – River Valley Community College (RVCC) invites the greater Claremont community to attend an open house on June 19 or 21 to learn about two of the college’s new computer science programs, meet the instructor, enjoy free pizza, and try to win one of the program’s new endearingly geeky t-shirts.

We designed these new programs with input from business and university partners to ensure the coursework is relevant and aligns with employers’ needs here in New Hampshire and the Upper Valley, so graduates are immediately ready to transition into one of the many high-paying, open jobs in the computer science field,” said Ali Rafieymehr, interim president at RVCC and vice president of academic affairs. Rafieymehr is also one of the instructors for the two spotlight programs: an associate degree in information technology and an associate degree in computer science & global innovation.

The new degrees also provide a strong foundation for continued study at a four-year college, and credits are transferable. RVCC is currently enrolling for both new programs, and the full curriculum for both degrees can be found online.

The open houses will take place at 5 pm on Monday June 19 and Wednesday, June 21 at RVCC, 1 College Place in Claremont. To reserve a spot in advance, visit rvccnewprograms.org or contact Rafieymehr at 603.542.7744 extension 5340 or arafieymehr@ccsnh.edu.

Both events are free to attend, and all are welcome. RVCC will have pizza at the open houses, as well as information about networking and cybersecurity programs.
