Manchester CC and Nashua CC Open New Advanced Manufacturing Labs

New Hampshire’s manufacturing sector is not only robust, it’s cutting edge with high demand for workers skilled in high-tech computer-aided manufacturing.  CCSNH celebrates the opening of three newly renovated labs where NH students will train in advanced machine tool technology, precision welding, mechatronics and robotics.

On Feb. 6, Nashua CC held the grand opening for its new advanced machine tool technology lab.  The lab will enable advanced training for students in NCC’s advanced machine tool technology program.  This state-of-the-art facility will enable NCC students to train on technology and equipment found in today’s workplace, ensuring that they are well-prepared for in-demand career opportunities at advanced manufacturing companies in NH.

And Manchester CC is soon to hold two grand openings for its newly-renovated and expanded precision welding lab and for its new mechatronics/robotics lab.

On March 20, MCC will formally open its new mechatronics and robotics lab, the latest addition to Manchester’s growing advanced manufacturing technologies program.  The lab will support the new mechatronics certificate, a planned certificate in robotics and a degree in advanced manufacturing technologies.  An April 23 grand opening is scheduled for MCC’s welding lab, which will support MCC’s certificate and degree programs in advanced welding technology.  Enhancements to this program include state-of-the-art plasma and submerged arc welding competencies.

These career-enhancing programs are well suited to meet the demands and requirements of NH’s high tech companies.
