Concord, N.H. –  Paul J. Holloway of Rye was elected to serve a fourth year-long term as Chairman of the Community College System Board of Trustees, at the Trustees’ meeting today at River Valley Community College in Claremont.

Holloway, who joined the CCSNH board in 2004, said he is proud of the opportunities the state’s community colleges provide to NH residents of all ages, backgrounds and aspirations.  He said he intends to continue the System’s focus on strengthening high-demand, high-wage programs; continuing to build enrollment at the system’s seven colleges; and improving college facilities, particularly in the areas of academic technology and energy efficiency.  He noted that in times of economic downturn, increasing numbers of people turn to community colleges for retraining and affordable college options.

In March of 2009, Holloway was honored by the New England Board of Higher Education with the David C. Knapp award for trusteeship.  In addition to serving on the Community College System’s board, Holloway was a trustee of the University System of NH for sixteen years, including four years as Chairman.  Holloway is President of Holloway Automotive Group.

Also re-elected to their current positions were trustees Harvey Hill of Charlestown – Vice Chair; Kim Trisciani of Hooksett – Secretary; and Ned Densmore of Franconia – Treasurer.
