CCSNH is hiring individuals to be part of a grant-funded job training initiative to strengthen NH’s advanced manufacturing workforce. CCSNH seeks applicants for a variety of positions needed to implement the grant programs at its seven colleges statewide.
Like many other states, NH faces a workforce skills gap in technology and advanced manufacturing. The community colleges are committed to closing this gap, and preparing NH residents with the skills needed by the State’s advanced manufacturing companies. CCSNH will develop training programs that are aligned with regional employment needs and opportunities, and that encompass entry level as well as more advanced and specialized skills.
CCSNH was awarded a $19.9 million grant through the US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Division, to support this initiative. The colleges will work in partnership with NH employers in the advanced manufacturing industry to develop training programs for displaced workers, new entrants to the job market, the underemployed, career changers and other interested persons. Programs will be run from each of the seven NH community colleges, located in Portsmouth, Nashua, Manchester, Concord, Claremont, Laconia and Berlin. Training will also be done through online learning and mobile course delivery.
