VisionThe Community College System of New Hampshire will be a key access point for the broad spectrum of New Hampshire learners providing evolving programs responsive to regional and state social and economic needs. We will be a key community resource woven into New Hampshire's quality of life, providing a seamless pathway of lifelong learning and career development. Strategic GoalsIn February 2005, the Board of Trustees adopted the following strategic goals and deliverables for the CCSNH System: |
|
| Increase enrollment by providing affordable and accessible learning opportunities to NH residents in all regions of the state. | |
| CCSNH will seek to enroll 32,000 students annually by 2010, and will work to secure increases in state funding to support this level of growth. | |
| Offer rigorous, accredited programs of career and technical education that prepare NH residents with skills to thrive in the modern-day economy. | |
| All colleges will maintain New England Association of Schools & Colleges Commission on Institutions of Higher Education and specialized program accreditation. | |
| Prepare students for successful college transfer and increase opportunities for transfer. | |
| CCSNH student transfers into baccalaureate programs will increase by 5 percent annually through 2010. | |
| Develop mutually supportive partnerships with communities, businesses and the state's public secondary school system. | |
| The System will become embedded in the life of the local communities, through high school articulations, dual enrollment programs, student internships in local companies, and participation in business associations, organizations, and activities. | |
| Develop in students a sense of service and a capacity for responsible citizenship. | |
| The System will encourage activities that demonstrate a commitment to civic engagement and contribute to the public good. | |
| Implement a statewide, collaborative workforce development system and significantly reduce the number of under-prepared workers in the NH workforce. | |
| The System will ensure a presence in the business community to assess training needs and opportunities, and will offer programs that develop a skilled, competitive workforce. | |
