SCOPE OF WORK:  Creates and sustains a developmentally appropriate infant/toddler and/or preschool program.  Works under the general supervision of the Director of Child Care Programs at WMCC.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Supports and maintains WMCC child care programs in accordance with NAEYC accreditation criteria and NH Child Care Licensing Standards;
• Maintains individual goals, plans and assessments on each child;
• Conducts regular parent conferences and attends weekly teacher meetings and monthly special education meetings, if necessary;
• Completes training in ECE annually with documentation maintained on file in accordance with licensing rules;
• Maintains current First Aid & CPR, health record, and water safety and medication administration;
• Actively supports ECE Practicum students through modeling, guidance and assessment;
• Adheres to job descriptions outlined in WMCC Child Care Teacher Handbook;
• Creates a shared learning community for children, families and students;
• Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations including, but not limited to, health and safety policies, the State of New Hampshire policy on sexual harassment and all civil rights laws;
• Other duties as assigned.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Completion of high school or its equivalent.

Experience:  No experience required.

License/Certification:  First Aid, CPR.

Preferred Qualifications:   Six (6) college credits in Early Childhood Education preferred.
