Foundation Announces New Scholarship Fund

For Building Construction Students at Manchester Community College

The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation has announced that a new scholarship fund is now available to assist building construction students at Manchester Community College.   The Quentin C. Walsh Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Professor Walsh’s friends and loved ones.  To-date they have raised over $10,000 to perpetuate the scholarship fund.  Professor Walsh served as a dedicated professor for 25 years in the Building Construction Program at Manchester Community College. He was known as a knowledgeable and patient teacher who exemplified hard work, integrity, and a generous spirit.

The Quentin C. Walsh Memorial Scholarship Fund will assist full-time students who have completed at least one semester in the degree-granting Building Construction Technology Program at Manchester Community College, and have demonstrated a sincere and enthusiastic interest in building construction work.  A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded annually based on available funds.

Scholarships for the spring semester are now available on line at www.ccsnh.edu/foundation/scholarships. The application deadline is December 16, 2010.
