Thomas E. Garfield - profile Thomas Garfield was appointed to the Community Technical Colleges Foundation Board in March of 2007. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Loan Officer of Laconia Savings Bank. As such, he is responsible for the bank's statewide office network, in addition to development, management and quality of a $750+million loan portfolio with associated deposits comprised of various retail and commercial products. He is also directly responsible for all aspects of lending in Commercial, Retail, Credit Support, Loan Operations, and mortgage lending areas. He has been with the bank since 1997 an dwas appointed senior vice-president in 1998. He has more than 35 years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Laconia Savings Bank, he was employed with CFX Bank. Tom Garfield brings a wealth of financial experience to the Foundation. He attended various banking schools, including the Maine-N.H. School of Banking, the School of Commercial Lending at Babson College, and the Executive Banking Institute in Texas. He graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He also holds a NH real estate license. In addition to his professional experience, he is known for serving on the Lakes Region General HealthCare Board of Trustees for 11 years, including two as Chairman; the Shaker Regional School Board for five years, the Lakes Region Rotary Club and the Belknap County Economic Development Council. He has served on a number of other organizations including the NH Hospital Association Board of Trustees, the Foundation for Healthy Communities Board of Trustees, and is Moderator for the Town of Belmont and Shaker Regional School District. Tom Garfield lives in the Lakes Region of NH with his wife. He has two children. He enjoys travel and volunteer work. |
