Dillon, of Concord, N.H., a physical therapy major at NH Community Technical College in Claremont, has been named the 2007 Ronald F. Borelli Legacy Scholarship Recipient. One annual award in the amount of $2,000 is given to a matriculated student who maintains a high GPA and demonstrates a commitment to their education. The scholarship was named after the late Ron Borelli, who passed away suddenly in July of 2006. Ron had served on the Board of Trustees of New Hampshire Community Technical Colleges and served as Chairman of the Foundation. In 1998, Business NH Magazine named him “Business Man of the Year”. Most recently, he served as Chairman of the Board of Vette Corporation in Manchester and InterSense of Burlington, Massachusetts and as CEO of Bentley Kinetics of Bedford. He was active in many community affairs. This is the first Legacy Scholarship award which was named in memory of Ron Borelli after his passing. As was Mr. Borelli’s intention in creating a legacy scholarship for the NHCTC System, the Foundation intends to target the award in order to encourage students to pursue their career goals regardless of personal obstacles. Foundation Chairperson Claudie Mahar had this to say about the award recipient: “Jane certainly exemplifies the criteria established within the Borelli scholarship and we’re delighted to be able to award her this very significant assistance.” ##### The New Hampshire Community Technical Colleges Foundation was incorporated in 2000 as a non-profit 501-C-3 corporation. The organization is overseen by the Board of Directors.
