Automotive Technology Students Receive $15,000 in Scholarships

Concord, NH... Fifteen students in the Community College System of New Hampshire have been awarded $1,000 American Automobile Association Northern New England scholarships for 2009. The scholarship is available to students studying automotive technology on a full-time basis at the Colleges. Four of the Community College System’s seven colleges offer automotive technology programs. The scholarships are disbursed through the Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation.

The recipients for 2009 are:

  • From Lakes Region Community College in Laconia: Ryan Rattray (Jaffrey), and Adam Minihan (Rindge), and Michael Hussey (Farmington).
  • From Manchester Community College: Eric Call (Newton), Brad Gagne (Manchester), and Mark Dinwiddie (South Hampton), Josiah Gould (Exeter), Edward Witt (Madison), Joseph Gearty (Manchester), Patrick Gearty (Manchester), Mark Martin (Allenstown), and Kurt Serveiss (Hampton).
  • From Nashua Community College: Anthony Dicecca (Nashua), Joseph Ledoux (Merrimack), Donald Johnson (Atkinson), and Ryan Giggi (Merrimack).

The American Automobile Association Northern New England has demonstrated it’s commitment to the Community College System of New Hampshire’s automotive technology programs by donating over $230,000 to the endowment over the past nine years.

The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation was incorporated in February 2000 as a 501(c)(3) corporation. The Foundation is overseen by a 20 person Board of Directors. The Foundation’s mission is to support the Community College System of New Hampshire by making higher education more accessible.
