Community Colleges Award $9,000 in Automotive Scholarships

Concord, NH... The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation today announced nine recipients of the American Automobile Association of Northern New England Scholarships for 2011.  The $1,000 per student scholarships are available to New Hampshire residents attending any of the four Community Colleges that offers the automotive program.

From Nashua Community College: Richard Ward (Manchester); Gaje Woodside (Nashua); Seth Fogg (Nashua). From Lakes Region Community College: Tobey Manning (Epsom), Jeremy Davis (Sanbornton). From White Mountains Community College: Brent Kay (Lancaster), Broughton Shackford (Center Conway).

The AAA scholarship award has been available annually since the Foundation organized in the year 2000. AAA has contributed over $250,000 to an endowment in order to provide assistance to students in automotive technology programs.

The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation was incorporated in February 2000 and is a 501(c)(3) corporation. The Foundation is overseen by a Board of Directors. The Foundation’s mission is to support the Community College System of New Hampshire by making higher education more accessible.
