Technical Colleges Awards AAA Northern NE Scholarships

 

 

Concord, NH...The Board of Directors of the NH Community Technical Colleges Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the Fall 2006 American Automobile Association Northern NE scholarships for students who are pursuing a career in the automotive service industry. 

From the Nashua Campus:  Joseph P. Reed (Nashua)

From the Laconia Campus: Ian J. Robbins (Manchester) & Benjamin LeBlac (Derry)

From the Manchester Campus: Brian E. Britt (Londonderry) & Justin M. Cloutier (Goffstown)

From the Berlin Campus: Brandy Jo Racine (Rumney) &  Dana C. Lavoie (Berlin)

AAA began the endowment to the Community Technical Colleges Foundation in the year 2000.  To qualify for the scholarships, a student must be a New Hampshire resident, in the automotive technology program, demonstrate mechanical ability and demonstrate a desire for a career in the industry.     

The Foundation Board Chairperson, Claudie Mahar, had this to say about the scholarships:   

 “The response to the awards this year was tremendous. We received many qualified applications.  The Community Technical Colleges strives to promote the highest standards in our automotive technology programs and to keep pace with the industry need.  We are grateful for AAA’s partnership with us in an effort to make higher education more accessible to talented individuals in the automotive industry.”
