The window for applying for ECE Tuition Assistance for fall 2009 has closed, and Fall awards have been processed. Please contact Teri if you have specific questions about your individual award status. Our office will begin receiving applications for the spring semester November 30th.

Early Childhood Education Tuition Assistance Program

The Community College System of New Hampshire, in partnership with the Division for Children, Youth, and Families (DHHS), is able to provide tuition assistance to eligible individuals.

Persons who are eligible must be:

  • Currently employed, at least part-time, in a NH licensed (or license-exempt) early childhood program, or a licensed family child care program,
  • and must be taking early childhood courses through CCSNH.
  • NH residents are eligible for full awards, while out of state students are only eligible for partial awards.
These funds are not intended for employees of private or public school systems.

Tuition Assistance Program Specifications:

Awards are given to eligible candidates as follows:

  • Tuition assistance awards are not based on financial need.
  • 100% tuition paid for the first ECE course taken and several specific courses including Infant & Toddler Development and Early Childhood Special Needs.
  • 50% tuition assistance for other ECE courses; non-ECE courses are not eligible for awards, even if they are required to complete your degree.
  • Students are responsible for all other expenses, including books and comprehensive fees.
  • Apply each semester to be considered for this assistance. Applicants are eligible for only 1 award for 1 course per semester.

Applications are processed:
  • Each term, beginning 4 weeks before courses begin, and continuing up until one week after the end of the drop/add period for the term.
  • Applications are processed in the order received by our office.
  • Original applications are required, including signature, to process tuition awards. If you choose to fax a copy, please send the signed original via mail immediately as well.
  • Budget limits for each term may impact availability of awards.
